Competition!

Deepdale Backpackers and Camping alongside co-owner and award winning author Andrea Bramhall are running a unique competition with a fantastic double prize.
The lucky winner will get to name a character in Andrea’s forthcoming LGBTQ novel Nightingale and win a weekend stay in a Tipi at Deepdale Backpackers and Camping on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast too! Giving you a chance to experience glamping under the stars with your own log burning open fire and have the name of your choosing immortalised in print!

Nightingale will be published by Bold Strokes Books in 2014 and the character you could be naming is a woman in the diplomatic service training to be a negotiator with a special task force. This task force is trying to rescue British Nationals who have been kidnapped and are being held against their wishes. She is in her late twenties, has dark hair and blue eyes, tall and of athletic build.
The name you choose could be almost anything. Your name, your partners, child, alter ego, best friend, wife, or just one that you would love to see in print—as long as it is suitable for a professional woman. Names such as Buttface Troublemaker are not acceptable and entries of this ilk will not be entered into the prize draw. Non-acceptable entries will be decided by an independent party before being put in the hat. The winner will also be thanked in the acknowledgments section of Nightingale for their time, help, and the inspiration they will be providing for the novel.
Deepdale Tipi’s are a fun glamping experience for a little something different when you’re getting away from the rat race. Whether you are arriving as part of a group of Injun’s and Squaws—Pocahontas lived only a few miles from the site after all—or you and your partner are looking for a romantic weekend away, Deepdale Tipi’s have tons to offer you. With an open wood burning fire, futon for comfortable sitting and sleeping, a dedicated BBQ and picnic bench outside, and a glorious view over the gorgeous North Norfolk landscape, what more could you want for a peaceful weekend away?

Bold Strokes Books 4th annual Book Festival is held in Waterstones, Nottingham on the 8th and 9th of June 2013. Author readings, discussion panels, and opportunities to meet the authors are held over the two days at Waterstones, Propaganda, and The New Foresters. The BBQ will be held at the New Foresters and the prize draw will be made there at 3pm on Sunday the 9th 2013.
Authors who have already confirmed their attendance at this year’s event are Andrea Bramhall, Crin Claxton, Jane Fletcher, Gill McKnight, I. Beacham, Justine Saracen, Rebecca Buck, Lesley Davis, Cari Hunter, new author Amy Dunne, and all the way from the States Russ Gregory. A veritable bevy of award winning LGBTQ authors for you to meet and talk to and listen to them read from their latest works. There is also a chance to meet and pitch your book idea to Bold Strokes Books editor and submissions co-ordinator, Vic Oldham.

Can’t believe you camp with your long hair down. Very pretty too. Is glamping a read word or the misspelling of camping. I’m thinking it’s a word for camping. Hurry up with another book…just kidding, I understand the work involved. Happy festival to all.
